About Me

I have considerable expereince as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist in private practice in the UK and Ireland. My working background has also been in pastoral care and business for many years.

My therapeutic orientation is primarily psychodynamic. Psychodynamic Counselling originates from psychoanalysis and the work of Sigmund Freud and other psychoanalytic theorists. It uses the therapeutic relationship to gain insight into unconscious relationship patterns that evolved since childhood.

There may be times when I use other approaches such as Integrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.

I also offer extensive Counselling and Psychotherapy Services to Corporate Businesses, Organisations, Voluntary Sector, Health Services, Communities, Schools and EAPs (Employee Assistance Programmes) etc.
